Converted from the 15th century building Palazzo Medici dal Borgo, the Hotel Aprile is located in the heart of Florence, within sight of the church of Santa Maria Novella.
The building, whose origins appear to stem back to the turn of the 15th century, at least as far as the basic structure is concerned, was restored under the strict ordinance of the Fine Arts Commission and is preserved as a historic monument. Art and culture are the main theme of this charming small boutique hotel.
The cosy lounge and breakfast rooms are elegantly decorated with antiques and original paintings which create an intimate and stylish atmosphere.
A selection of art books is available to guests and an added touch are the evening complimentary lectures presented by professors of the University of Florence both on art and history of Florence and art conservation and restoration for which Florence is world famous.
